On May 18th, 2025, over 100 neighbors, leaders, and changemakers gathered for an unforgettable day at The Longest Table. Set beneath the open sky at Southside Rec Center, a table stretching down the SW Heritage Greenway became the backdrop for one of the most meaningful conversations our community has shared. Guests from all walks of life — families, students, business owners, educators, public officials, and longtime residents — gathered around the same table to share food, stories, and visionas for a more inclusive future. Strangers became friends. Ideas became action. The atmosphere was filled with the warmth of hospitality and the power of genuine human connection.

As organizers, we were inspired by the day's energy and reminded of why this work matters. The Longest Table was not just a singular event, but a starting point for ongoing engagement. We believe these moments of togetherness have a ripple effect — building trust, broadening perspectives, and strengthening the civic fabric of our city. With Gratitude, we extend our deepest thanks to everyone who helped make The Longest Table 2025 a success. From the early planning stages to the last chair packed away, it was a collective effort that would have been impossible without so many generous hands and hearts. To our sponsors and partners: thank you for believing in the mission and supporting the logistics, food, and outreach efforts that brought this vision to life. To our volunteers: your enthusiasm, patience, and care helped ensure every guest felt seen, welcomed, and valued. To our guests: thank you for showing up with open minds and open hearts. Your presence and participation turned a long table into something much more — a shared space for belonging and hope.

Together, we’re building a community where everyone has a seat at the table — not just for one night, but for the future!.
