The Youth Enrichment and Employment (YEE) Program provides paid employment and career development opportunities for youth ages 14–19. During this year around program, participants spend at least five hours per week working alongside GHP staff to learn about urban agriculture, food entrepreneurship, nutrition, and community impact. The program also includes enrichment activities such as field trips and community events. YEE participants gain hands-on experience working on GHP farms, in the food hub, and on Growdega, our mobile farmers market.

Positions include:

Farm Assistant – Learn the principles of organic farming while helping with tasks such as mulching, weeding, and harvesting produce and eggs across GHP’s urban farms and Southside Community Orchard.

Veterans Initiative

Our Veterans Workforce Development Program utilizes a Seed-to-Sale urban agriculture model to provide veterans with hands-on training, job-readiness skills, workforce development opportunities, and pathways to entrepreneurship. Through experiential learning in sustainable agriculture, food production, and community-based enterprise, veterans gain transferable skills that support successful transitions to civilian employment and long-term economic stability. We have also partnered with Arthur Cassell Transitional Housing to support veterans experiencing housing instability, connecting residents with workforce training, mentorship, and opportunities for personal and professional growth as they work toward self-sufficiency and independence.
